Accessibility statement

How accessible this website is, and how to tell us about problems.

This accessibility statement applies to the Atomix School of Business and Society website.

This website is run by Atomix Educational Trust. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. That means you should be able to:

  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader
  • understand the content, because we have made the text as simple as possible

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • you cannot zoom in on a phone or tablet, because pinch zoom is currently switched off
  • some images do not have a text alternative, so screen reader users will not know what they show
  • headings are not always in a logical order, and some pages do not have a main heading
  • you cannot skip straight to the main content when using a keyboard or screen reader
  • some links made from images have no readable link text
  • links in the main navigation and footer are smaller than the recommended minimum size, which makes them harder to tap accurately
  • the map on the contact page has no title, so screen reader users will not know what it is

Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018, known as the accessibility regulations. If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Atomix Educational Trust is committed to making this website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, because of the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Pinch zoom is disabled on mobile devices, so users cannot enlarge the page. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.4 (Resize Text). We plan to fix this by 30 September 2026.
  • Some images have no text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content). We plan to fix this by 30 September 2026. When we publish new content we will make sure our use of images meets accessibility standards.
  • Heading levels are not always in a logical order, and course pages do not have a level one heading. This makes the page structure harder to follow with a screen reader. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships). We plan to fix this by 30 September 2026.
  • There is no skip to main content link, so keyboard and screen reader users must move through the navigation on every page. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.1 (Bypass Blocks). We plan to fix this by 30 September 2026.
  • Some links that are made from an image alone have no accessible name. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 2.4.4 (Link Purpose) and 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value). We plan to fix this by 30 September 2026.
  • Links in the main navigation and footer have a target area smaller than 24 by 24 pixels. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.5.8 (Target Size (Minimum)). We plan to fix this by 30 September 2026.
  • The embedded map on the contact page has no title attribute. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value). We plan to fix this by 30 September 2026.
  • On the about page there are interactive elements nested inside other interactive elements, which can confuse screen readers and keyboard navigation. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value). We plan to fix this by 30 September 2026.

What we are doing to improve accessibility

We are working with our web developers to fix the issues listed above. We will retest the website once the fixes are in place and update this statement with the results.
