Welcome from our leaders

Leadership development that actually means something has to start with people who’ve lived it. At Atomix School of Business and Society, we’ve brought together practitioners and educators who don’t just understand leadership in theory. They’ve applied it in boardrooms, cockpits and everything in between.

We built this school because we saw a gap. Businesses in our region were being underserved by generic training that didn’t reflect the challenges they were actually facing. Our view has always been that unique challenges require unique people to address them, which is why our faculty includes people like Captain Emma Henderson MBE.

Who we are

Atomix School of Business and Society is an executive education and leadership development provider based in the Tees Valley. We deliver CMI-accredited programmes from Level 2 to Level 7, designed around the real challenges facing businesses today.

We’re part of Atomix Educational Trust, a multi-academy trust with over 500 years of combined educational heritage across the North East. That foundation gives us the infrastructure, expertise and commitment to quality that underpins everything we do.

Our programmes are led by practitioners and educators who work at the intersection of business and society, people who understand both the theory and the reality of modern leadership.

Every programme leads to a nationally recognised CMI qualification. Beyond the certificate, our focus is on what happens back in the workplace: leaders who think differently, act with more confidence and bring genuine value to your organisation.

Built and delivered around you

We work directly with businesses to understand their challenges and design programmes around them. That might mean selecting from our existing portfolio, adapting a course to your context, or building something entirely new. We deliver flexibly too: on-site, hybrid, block sessions or weekends.

Atomix School of Business and Society sits within Atomix Educational Trust, a Tees Valley trust with settings spanning nursery through to sixth form. The school was established to extend a long tradition of educational excellence into professional and executive development.

Prior Pursglove College is founded in Guisborough. It has been educating people in the town for over 465 years and remains part of the trust today.

2017

Atomix Educational Trust is established, bringing together settings from nursery through to sixth form across the Tees Valley.

2026

Atomix School of Business and Society launches, grounded in the trust’s strategic commitment to employability and entrepreneurship, to strengthen leadership capacity in the businesses and communities we serve.
